This is a 6in round Nantucket Basket, made out of hickory. Notice the ears for the handle are all one stave. Each stave is tapered and beveled. All wood parts are hand made in the shop. I am by no means the best Nantucket Basket maker, but if you are going to spend the money to buy quality Nantucket Baskets, one that will last generations and hopefully appreciate in value. Buy one from a competent U.S. basket maker.
